Gastronomic map with the best Iberoamerican restaurants in Madrid

As part of the actions to celebrate the recently inaugurated Ibero-American Capital of Gastronomy of the city of Madrid, the City Council and the Ibero-American Academy of Gastronomy have prepared a gastronomic map with the best Ibero-American restaurants in Madrid, information on the culinary culture of each country and traditional recipes.

It is an interactive gastronomic map that allows you to locate the main Ibero-American restaurants in the city and brings together the flavors of the twenty-two countries that make up the Ibero-American region -Andorra, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Portugal and Uruguay-, to which is added the United States, which, although not part of Ibero-America, is an active member of the Ibero-American Academy of Gastronomy.

The best Latin American restaurants in Madrid

The map offers a selection of restaurants in the capital of each of these countries, accompanied by practical information such as the address, name of the chef, the specialty of the establishment, its average rating in the most popular search engines or information on how to get to them. It also has a general map of the city of Madrid with each of the Latin American restaurants located by the flag of each country and average ticket price range, as well as a map by district.

In addition to the selection of restaurants, there is a presentation by country regarding the identity of its cuisine, and three traditional recipes of its gastronomy, such as Empanada criolla (Argentina), Gallo pinto (Costa Rica), Pupusas (El Salvador), Carapulcra (Peru), Encocado de pescado (Ecuador), Quindim (Brazil), Pebre de trigo mote (Chile) or Tequeños (Venezuela), some of the more than sixty recipes included in this section.

The information is available in Spanish and English, thus allowing, in addition, to elaborate some of the iconic recipes of Ibero-American cuisine. To facilitate the purchase of the products needed to prepare these dishes, each recipe includes the Madrid market of reference where the ingredients can be purchased. The map is available on the official website of the capital, Madrid Gastronómica, https://madridgastronomica.es/mapa-iberoamericano/.
