Marinera de carne paraguaya is a traditional dish of Paraguayan cuisine.
It consists of beef steaks soaked in a fried flour batter.
It is a comforting dish that is perfect for cold days or to share with family and friends.
Ingredients
- 500g of Beef
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Cup of Milk
- 1 Cup of INTERTRÓPICO Flour
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- Green onion
- Juice of a Lemon
- Salt, pepper and cumin to taste
- Oil
Steps
STEP 1
Cut the meat into thin slices or steaks, remove some of the fat.
STEP 2
Add garlic, salt, pepper, cumin and the juice of one lemon to the meat, mix well and marinate for several hours.
STEP 3
Prepare the dough by beating the eggs in a bowl, adding a pinch of salt, INTERTRÓPICO flour, a little milk and finely chopped green onion, mix until a lump-free dough is obtained.
STEP 4
Soak the meat slices in the prepared batter.
STEP 5
Heat a frying pan with abundant oil and fry the slices of meat until browned on both sides.
STEP 6
Remove the pieces of meat on absorbent paper, so that their texture is crispier.
STEP 7
You can accompany it with a vegetable salad to taste.
Tips
- Avoid crowding: When frying meat marinara, fry in batches, leaving enough space between each piece.
Crowding in the pan will reduce the oil temperature and result in soggy meat instead of a crispy exterior.
